Don’t hinder the performance of your car by bogging down your shifting with GM’s heavy shifter assembly. Upgrade to a JPM replacement that focuses the weight of the shifter in the knob and not in the shaft. Each JPM performance shifter assembly is precicely machined in the United States to exact tollerances out of stainless steel and aluminum. The JPM shifter sits approximately .5" lower than the stock shifter at it’s lowest setting and is fully adjustable to to meet the height that feels best for you.
What makes the JPM shifter so unique is it’s various ways to be customized to the liking of the customer. Built in to each JPM shifter is a reversible collar that dictates shifter height and also how your shift boot fits onto the assembly. Installed in one direction, your shift boot fits snugly against the bottom of your shift knob. Installed in the reverse direction, your shift boot hangs low exposing a polished aluminum shaft and allowing your fingers to completely grip the shift knob.
Knob Options include a lightweight white and black copolymer spheres for the classic sports car look and maximum transmission feedback. You can also choose a medium weight aluminum knob or go for our heaviest knob that cuts through the gears like a hot knife, the one pound stainless steel sphere.
Be sure to select your Kappa model as the shift boot design and installation are unique to each.
An engraved shift pattern is available at an extra charge ($30.00). This option is available only on Copolymer and Anodized Aluminum shift knobs. Engraving option is not available for Natural Aluminum shift knobs or Stainless Steel.
NEW! JPM Coachworks now offers OEM chrome trim rings as an option with each purchase. By selecting to purchase a brand new trim ring, your boot will come pre-mounted, ready for a quick snap-in installation. Perfect if you're not comfortable installing your boot yourself or if you just want to keep your stock ring as a spare.
